Bringing up interface eth0: 8139too device eth0 does not...
Hi,
I have a DL385-G4 with 2 dual-port NICs. Of late, I've noticed (during a recent OS reinstall), that I get the following error:
Bringing up interface eth0: 8139too device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
[FAILED]
when network-services are restarted. Is this an indicator of some hardware problem with the NIC ? Surprisingly, the 2nd port of the sane dual-port NIC, is working fine, i.e. is claimed by kernel, identified as valid ethernet interface, IP is assigned etc.
thanks for any answers or pointers.
regards,
BD
