Re: cache is disabled in Smart Array P212 (DL180 G6) because of battery

Hi Marya,

Please ensure that the Cache, Battery/Capacitor and cable is properly seated. Make sure the contacts are strong. Clean the cache tray to ensure the contact surface are not corroded. - Please review the ADU Report > Consolidated Error Report and check whether the Cache is temporarily or permanently disabled. A Permanently disabled message indicates Cache Failure. - Battery / Capacitor is selected based on the type of Cache Module populated on the server.  Reflash the controller firmware once again and check.

- The Cache could be disabled as Battery may not be charged completely.

772. Smart Array P212 in Embedded Slot has one or more cache module batteries/capacitors that are recharging. Caching operations such as Expansion, Extension, and Migration are temporarily suspended until the batteries/capacitors are fully charged. Caching operations will automatically resume when charging is complete.
