Cache Status problem detected in HP MSA60

Hi everyone, we have an old MSA60 array with a fatal error message and two warning messages.

Fatal error: 351 " Smart Array P812 in Slot 1 CACHE STATUS PROBLEM DETECTED: The cache on this controller has a problem. To prevent data loss, configuration changes to this controller are not allowed. Please replace the cache to be able to continue to configure this controller."

Warning: 772 "Smart Array P812 in Slot 1 has one or more cache module batteries/capacitors that are recharging. Caching operations such as Expansion, Extension, and Migration are temporarily suspended until the batteries/capacitors are fully charged. Caching operations will automatically resume when charging is complete."
Warning 823  "The cache for Smart Array P812 in Slot 1 has been disabled because the backup operation failed."

I replaced the Raid controller, which is part number " HPE 399049-001", and the status did not change.

I haven't had much experience with storage arrays, but I looked at the backplane and I didn't see a separate cache module.
Any guidance would be appreciated! TIA!

Re: Cache Status problem detected in HP MSA60

Hi,

The part you mentioned is I/O module not a cache or controller.
