Can't configure RAID controller - ML 370 G4
Hello,
I have a new ML370 G4 server (tower) with 1GB RAM, processor 3GHz & 2x34GB HD.
I want to configure RAID 0,1.
My problem is:
Power up the server, POST halts for several seconds I press F8 to open the ORCA main menu (follow the user guide) but I don't see the ORCA main menu.
I see the screen:
*****
LSI Logic Corp. MPT BIOS
MPTBIOS-5.05.20.00
Select a configuration option:
1. Tape-base One button Disaster Recovery (OBDR)
2. Multi Initiator Configuration.
3. Exit
****
Then I retart the server and boot with SmartStart CD to open ACU but it don't see any arrays.
Does my server support RAID? If yes, how do I configure the RAID controller?
Please help, thanks in advance.

Re: Can't configure RAID controller - ML 370 G4
as you can see here probably your server has this controller
Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI host bus adapter
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11555_div/11555_div.html
"... provides customers with the flexibility and speed they have come to expect from HP. ..... is ideal for HP tape arrays and larger non-RAID storage applications."
it does not support RAID it's ideal for JBOD
http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/perf/raid/levels/jbod.htm
but there others options available for this server
Smart Array 6402/128 Controller
Smart Array P600/256 BBWC
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12029_na/12029_na.html
as you can see here those support RAID
