Can't read data on Drive Array
I have Proliant ML530 with 2 Smart Array 5312 controllers in. 1 for 2 internal disks (RAID 1) to run the OS (win2k) and 1 for an external drive array with 14 disks split into 2 RAID 5 containers (7 disks each).
I have had to re-install the OS and used the smart start CD and reformatted the controller used to run the OS. The other was untouched. I however now cannot see any of the data on the 2 RAID 5 containers in Windows. Please can someone suggest how I can recover these.
Many thanks..

Re: Can't read data on Drive Array
Just a thought- did you have the 2 RAID5 disks protected with Encrypted File System (EFS) on this system? If so, you are out of luck and will have to restore the data from a backup source.
If you were not using EFS, you may want to remove the device in Device Manager- make sure you remove the 5312 in the correct slot. Reboot your server and allow the system to find the controller again. It should use the driver currently in use for the OS controller.
