Cannot run graphics greater than 800x600 DL580

Hello everyone,

We have an issue on one of our DL580s where we are unable to run the graphics higher than 800x600. The issue occurs with the lights out (RIB) board in the system or when it is removed.

event viewer shows the following from the ATIRAGE card:

You are running different builds of the miniport and display driver. Please use a matched pair.

Has anyone had this issue themselves? And how did you recover from it?

Hello Paul,
I have seen this kind of behaviour when you have a remote access software installed on the system. So the remedy is to remove the remote software i.e. PC ANYWHERE and then update the Video driver. Once the resolution is set properly then you can install the remote access software back on.

Thanks for the response Sunil,

The box in question does not have any remote access software such as PC ANYWHERE on it. Although it does have terminal service client installed.

Do these symptoms also occur for TS services?

Hello Paul,
I haven't experienced a similar behaviour on TS but it's surely worth a try :D. Please let me know and in the meantime if I do find something I shall surely let you know.
