Change Fan on proliant
Hello everybody, sorry for my approximative english i'm french.
Few weeks ago, I bought a proliant DL360 G2. And the fan system (Nidec A33916-57) make some noise and i want to change the fan system with mine fan whith an external power supplie.
I want to know if I can start the proliant whithout her original fan? I know have some Bip at the start
But if I can start the proliant, can i change bios setting to start without original fan.
Thank you
Benjamin

Re: Change Fan on proliant
you can't.
problem that you describe related to G3 model
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_EL031120_CW01
G2 relied on software-based fan control
make sure susystem Rom up to date, agents, system driver, from SMH fan speed normal or high ?

Re: Change Fan on proliant
Hi,
Proliant it's new for me....
I don't know how to make to enter to the bios, for regulate the fan.
But me i juste want to remove the original fan, because i want to put at the place some 12inches fan with an external power supplie. it's possible to regulate the bios to start the proliant without system fan.
Thank you
Benjamin
