Changing from Integrated to Smart Array Ctrlr
I understand that the Proliant DL380 does not store the array configuration on the Integrated controller.
If I have data on the array attached to the Integrated controller and decide to switch the array to a Smart Array Controller, will I lose my data, or is the configuration still stored on the drives and in NVRAM and sufficient to keep this from happening?
Thank you!

Re: Changing from Integrated to Smart Array Ctrlr
The Smart Array Controller will read the information from the drives . You can make the switch from the integrated Smart Controller without losing data .
However we do suggest you have a reliable backup done before swapping the controllers .
