changing SCSI BIOS settings

We are running backups off of an Exabyte 10H 8mm tape library drive. The drive is terminated and connected to the onboard Symbios 810 SCSI controller (LSI Logic). The backup software is Computer Associates ArcServeIT 6.6 Advanced Edition. Occasionally, backups abort with an error code and CA's fix for this is to adjust some SCSI BIOS settings. How can I enter the BIOS for the Symbios 810 controller to review these settings? The settings in question are init sync negotiation and init wide negotiation.

Thanks.

Re: changing SCSI BIOS settings

At POST go into the F10 partition. Then system Config -> Configure HW -> Review and Modify ->View and Edit details. Scroll down until you see the controller and it will have your backup device there also. It could the scsi bus speed. Try to bring it down to SCSI2 compliant.
We are here for a good time, not a long time!
