Checking Firmware on ESXi
Hello,
We have a few customers with ProLiant ML350 G6 servers
And DL380p Gen8 Servers.
All are running ESXi and because of that we are unable to check firmware updates.
What is the best way to check for firmware updates on these servers?

Re: Checking Firmware on ESXi
Having just looked at one of our boxes, ESXi 5.1 seems to have `dmidecode` installed which certainly brings back the BIOS firmware version (though I've not checked anything else).
If you're happy taking the host offline, you could always use the F10 intelligent provisioning option and check firmware from there.
Also, on our DL360e-G8, the iLO4 shows all the firmware information too (Information -> System Information -> Firmware).
Hope this helps :)
