CN1100E 10GB Slow Uploads
Been experiencing issue with slow transmits on G7 DL servers using CN1100E 10GB CNA cards. We are running Win2k8 R2, using the latest drivers and firmware on the cards and the latest SPP on the server.
When copying a file from the server (transmit), the copy job runs at ~60MB/s, but copying to the server (receive) it runs at 200+MB/s. We have Gen 8 servers with different model cards that work without issue. Anyone have any ideas or have seen this, we have a ticket open with HP support.

Re: CN1100E 10GB Slow Uploads
Hi,
In this scenario, I can think of two issues:
1. Antivirus software and/or Firewall on the servers.
2. CN1100E Firmware and Drivers.
Check if the antivirus or firewall is not causing the slow speed.
Check if both servers NIC (CN1100E) are on same drivers and firmware version.
Thank You!
I am a HP employee.
I work at HPE

Re: CN1100E 10GB Slow Uploads
Just an update, we tried a CN1000Q card, Qlogic chipset, and performance was what we expected, over 200MB/s. The issue seems to be with the CN1100E, we have tried the latest firmware and drivers without luck, and have turned off virus scanning.
We have an HP case open, but unfortunetly not getting anywhere with support on the issue.

Re: CN1100E 10GB Slow Uploads
Did you ever get this issue resolved?
We are having the same problem with both our physical windows environment and our VMWare environment. We did make some progress on 1 physical windows server playing with CHIMNEY and RSS settings.

Re: CN1100E 10GB Slow Uploads
I am having similiar issues with the CN1100E. I installed it into one dl360 gen 7 and had no problems with it. On the other server I installed it into the copy or backup job starts and runs at 50MB/s + and then slows to a crawl 1MB/s. The second one was actually running a newer firmware/driver then the first server, so I tried downgrading the second server to match. I still have horrible performance. It doesn't matter which direction the files are being transfered.

My resolution was to install a CN1100R (Broadcom) and there were no issues with that card. CN1100E is no good.
