Compaq DL380 R01 WS2k3 can't detect 2nd processor
We've a DL380 R01 with dual 733/133 256k Pentium 3's & 898Mb RAM installed.
We've just installed win2k3 server and unfortunately it won't detect the second processor. We've tried changing the driver in device manager and we've also tried re-installing and forcing the HAL to a multiprocessor version during windows setup but it just hangs.
anyone have any thoughts as to the cause?

Re: Compaq DL380 R01 WS2k3 can't detect 2nd processor
Hi Charles,
Windows 2003 is not supported on this Server as per OS Matrix.
Also check the following article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319091/en-us
Try upgrading the firmware and check if that is of any help.
Regards,
Raj.
