Compaq NIC Agent can't start after reboot server!
The proliant ml570 with compaq nc 3223 fast ethernet nic mounted on my srver. After every reboot, compaq nic agent's service can not start, even though manually start. It comes with error logs 7031, compaq nic agent suddently terminate.
Besides, one other service called sntulusb's driver can not load the system32\driver.
Anyone can help? Urgent!
Thanks.

Re: Compaq NIC Agent can't start after reboot server!
Rerun the setup for the Management Agents and and do a custom uninstall. Only uninstall the NIC agent and then reboot and then reinstall.

Re: Compaq NIC Agent can't start after reboot server!
The possible reason for this error occured is I have updated the Win 2000 Server's service pack from 1 to 2.
Even though I have removed the service pack 2 and uninstall all the Management Agents, reinstall again and again, the problem is the same.
Could anyone give me a hand?

Re: Compaq NIC Agent can't start after reboot server!
Go into you Services and go to the properties of the NIC Agent. Go to the "Dependancies" tab and in the top window you will see what the NIC Agent needs. Whatever is here please stop that service and uninstall/reinstall. After that remove the NIC agent and reinstall. This is happeneing more than likely because the NIC agent is starting before SNMP.
Another one you can try is to go into the "Recovery tab" and depending on your preference please change to "Restart the Service".
