Compaq Proliant 2500 Problem
I am getting a 1702-Scsi error detectected on systems board. System halted. I can't boot from a floppy or hard drive.
I do not want to use the on-board scsii contoller. Is there a way to disable the on-board controller or other way to bypass this error and boot to the Compaq Smart Start CD?

Re: Compaq Proliant 2500 Problem
Jim:
A 1702 SCSI Cable Error could just mean that a cable has come loose in the server.
Check the SCSI cables coming from the internal controller to the hard drives. Also, if you have one, check the cable to your tape drive. Make sure that any teminators are firmly seated.

Re: Compaq Proliant 2500 Problem
Hi,
it is cable or terminator problem
Plug wide SCSI cable with terminator in the internal controller if it is not going to be used.
Regards,
Prashant S.
