Re: compaq prosigna 200

This is obviously a server and will not necessarily use a standard power supply. I would recommend using the correct replacement, instead of trying to use some third party replacement.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

There are different Prosignia 200 server models, with different system boards and different power supplies - which one do you have?

Re: compaq prosigna 200

Hi,

The PSU connectors on the Prosignia models will be non-standard as there were also front panel led and on/off switch cables included. There were two models of PSU.

Older (Pentium I-166Mhz) model chassis - Compaq spare part number 247134-002 (200 Watt)

Pentium II (233-300Mhz) model chassis - Compaq spare part number 269249-001 (240 Watt).
There was a 280 Watt PSU model but this is now obsolete.

The power supply you have should have the "Replace with Compaq Spare Part Number" information stamped on it somewhere.

Hope this helps.

Re: compaq prosigna 200

Whilst I can't comment on the PII chassis models, the power supply connectors on the 166MHz Pentium 1 Prosignia 200 are standard AT.

The power supply does have a different form factor to the AT and BabyAT power supplies, but it's electrically compatible. The power & disk LEDs are wired (as are most of them) to the system board, and the power switch (as on most BabyAT power supplies) is wired directly to the power supply.
