Compaq UPS Agent Failing

Periodically, the UPS Agents fail with the following error in the NT Event Log.
Event ID 7023
The Compaq Power Management service terminated with the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
Compaq Insight Manager "greys out" the UPS section of the Devices properties.
The service appears to remain started, but requires a stop and start in order to function correctly.
There is no indication as to what file cannot be found...
