Concept for using Teaming, VLANs and PXE
Hi,
I need a good advice/idea, using Teaming, VLANs and PXE at one time on bl25p blades.
I've tried to use dynamic teaming, with the disadvantage VLANs are not available. When using static teams, I've the problem our blades won't boot via PXE anymore.
Do you have any good idea getting both features to work?
Greetings,
Carsten

Re: Concept for using Teaming, VLANs and PXE
I also had issues with Blade server not able to boot Via PXE. This issue was resolved when Spanning Tree Protocol(STP) was disabled for the GbE2 Switch. By default the switch will be enabled for STP.
Hope this helps you.

Re: Concept for using Teaming, VLANs and PXE
Dear Rajashekar,
as I connected our Blades with two ports to each of our core switches I'm not allowed to disable STP - otherwise I will have a lot of loops.
But I set those ports as edge ports and with no mcheck, but this did not fix the problem as well.
After upgrading to the newest firmware of the core switches the PXE problem was gone. Unfortunatly this doesn't resolve all my problems as Microsoft Virtual Server has problems connecting to the network team. But I will open a new thread for this.
Regards Carsten.
