configure volume on built in ML370 G3 controller

i have a ML370 G3 and trying to configure a raid 0 volume from 2x 18g hard drives but i'm having a hell of hard time doing it.

smart start says there are no controllers available.

what am I missing here?

There might no be. The ML370 G3 by default comes with a dual channel SCSI adapter (NO RAID). So unless there was an add-on raid controller installed, you don't have raid.

Yep, as above.
The ML370 G3 has no raid controller when shipped.
You need a SmartArray 6400 or similar.

Once you install a SmartArray card, make sure you run the latest "Firmware Maintenance CD" to bring all server firmware up to date.
