Create bootable HP USB Key for update RAID Controller Firmware
Hi,
I have many new servers have problem with NMI error on Storage controller and require to install update firmware v1.34 (B)(11 Dec 2014) by offline update because my new servers did not have OS installed yet.
In order to do this, I want to create small bootable (64MB) HP USB Key for bulk scripting virtual media.
I have only 32GB USB flash disk, but it is seems too big for me for create USB image file and mount over WAN link.
Does anyone have solution to quickly create HP USB Key without have a physical USB flash disks?
Many Thanks in Advance,
Jobbo

Re: Create bootable HP USB Key for update RAID Controller Firmware
Not sure what server models we are talking about, but you can either create a bootable USB drive from current SPP or provide the SPP ISO via HTTP and use virtual media in order to boot from.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Create bootable HP USB Key for update RAID Controller Firmware
basically, i have boot woth spp (v.2014-09) but it does not have the new firmware I need. SPP iso is actually 4gb which is too big when perform bulk scripted virtual media on WAN link.
I need to mount only USB key image with minimal os to execute firmware 4.7mb to save bandwidth.
