Creating a boot spanned volume for installing Windows Server 2003 R2

I have been just given a old HP Proliant ML350 Server which has multiple 8GB SCSI hard drives in it. What I want to do is create a 16GB boot spanned volume from the first two 8GB SCSI drives to install Windows Server 2003 R2 on it and then create a spanned volume over all the other drivers to it as a deployment server for my other PC's and laptops. What is the best way to do this?

You need to provide some more details. What generation is the server and what kind of disk controllers does it have (raid)?

If these 8GB are raid logical disks maybe you can delete them and create larger ones. If they are physical disks and you don't have raid there isn't much you can do with them.

It is ML350 G3 Server and the drives are all physical SCSI drives.

This G3 has two storage controller options, an integrated SCSI adapter and the SA641 raid controller. You can combine 8GB drives (these are probably 9.1GB SCSI drives), only if you have the SA641 installed. http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12067_div/12067_div.html

You can probably find larger drives or a 641 raid controller if you don't have it in the used market.
