CrystalDiskMark showing faster than disk drive can do ?
Hi there,
Hope someone can enlighten me what the problem is here.
Server ML350 G9
6 x HP 600GB 6G SAS 10k rpm SFF HDD (653957-001)
Drive rated at 750 MB/s
I have been trying to upload a pic but always returned permission denied. Not sure what's wrong here.
Uploading HP_Speed.jpg resulted in the following error: Permission Denied
So i will just type the CrystalDiskMark result below:
SEQ1M Q8T1 Read - 6951.86 Write - 4655.62
SEQ1M Q1T1 Read - 3130.94 Write - 2990.10
RND4K Q32T1 Read - 560.18 Write - 515.79
RND4K Q1T1 Read - 117.00 Write - 105.75
Say 6 of those drives configured in Raid 0, equivalent to 750MB x 6 = 4500 MB/s max possible speed.
Can someone please educate me what part of mine is wrong ?
Thanks.
L

Re: CrystalDiskMark showing faster than disk drive can do ?
Hi,
CrystalDiskMark being a non-hpe product, it may not show proper readings (I personally have not tested this software on hpe drives).
Hence cannot comment more on this benchmarking software. https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskmark/
Thank You!
