defect SCSI-HDD ?!

Hi,
on one of our Compaq-Server on the front of the HotSwap-SCSI-Chasis the LEDs are blinking unusual: the two green LEDs on the lefthand-side are shining and the orange on on the righthand-side is blinking.
Unfortunately I don't know anything about these Compaq-Servers.
So, what does this mean (defect, sincing (HotSwap-manual ...)) and what is to do about this (shut down / remove / replace, tell the controller about the new HDD - how ?!)
Thanks a lot !

Re: defect SCSI-HDD ?!

Hi, Your issue is not clear. Compaq Hard drives have three lights at the front. When the green light blinks it means there is activity, when it's amber or red which means HDD needs to be replaced. If you need further assistance please call 1-800-ok-compaq.
