Disable CPUs and/or cores on DL580 G5 or DL585 G5

We are looking to get a 4 socket quad core system for performance testing.
Ideally we would like to have the same underlying hardware but have the ability to change the available CPU cores from 16 to 8 to 4 to 2.
I know that you can disable "1/2 of the cores" on an DL380 G5 in ROM Setup. Is the same option available on the DL580 or DL585? Also is there an option to turn off a whole CPU socket disable core option in ROM setup?
