Disable HP DL580 Raid Controller in BIOS

I don't know why I haven't figured out how to do this yet, but I need to disable one of my RAID controllers through the BIOS.

There are 2 RAID controllers: P400 and P800 with 8 HDs each (total of 16). I need to disable the P800 in order to successfully install an appliance. Can someone please give me detailed directions on how to do this?

I am not sure if this the recommended way, but I usually disable the IRQ for the RAID controller. So in the BIOS, go to PCI Devices, find the RAID controller, press Enter key, and then set it to "Disabled" instead of whatever IRQ it is currently set to.

Again, there may be a better way to do it, but this is how I do it.

I wish there was a disable option. Unfortunately I can only set it to another IRQ bus. Is this because I have another setting disabled?

That is strange - I have never seen that before. Not sure what to tell you then.
