Disble Power Switch

For security purpose, I would like to disable my server's power button. The Compaq's software "Power Down Manager" cannot changes these settings because the server has an ACPI HAL, Control Panel's Power Management neither... I tried changing the HAL: no success. Maybe I should remove the cable from the power button but does it have another solution? thanks a lot

Is this system just sitting out in the open? Normally, a server should either be locked up somewhere or in a rack (which can be locked).
