DL 360 G5 and ARECA ARC-1220 SATA Controller

Hi all,
I have a HP DL 360 G5 with latest firmware and a Areca ARC-1220 installed in the PCIe riser-slot. When powering up the server the ARC-1220 is not detected. It beeps when powering up as well as the LED is flashing and the fan is rotating. When I put the controller in my workstation it is detected and I could enter the firmware.

Any ideas what ight be wrong??

Hi Marcus,

maybe main reason is because this controller is third party hw for HP servers?
There is known issues due to un-HP devices:)

Hi,

yeah thats what I thought too but Adaptec and LSI-Adapters are recognized.....
