Dl 380 G4 Cdrom
Hi..
Just purchased one HP DL 380 G4 & using Simplex scsi config with 2 hard drives on embedded 6i controller. As I start the server with smartstart, I get error saying invalid media, check media cable. CD is okay & unfortunately i have no other drive / cable to test. Does anyone know if its hardware issue or anything else.
Regards
Sandeep

Re: Dl 380 G4 Cdrom
I think that since its a new server the CDROM cable may be disconnected.reseat the cable and check the boot sequence in RBSU.that should work.

Re: Dl 380 G4 Cdrom
Thanks for the reply. I put in another drive & it worked ok. Quite strange the original drive started functioning as well after everything was installed & system setup.
