Just received 2 DL140's and unfortunately when I want to raid the new drives (2 x 80GB) SAS, I hit F8 to invoke the SAS configuration utility, ....it just hangs, therefore cannot get into the LSI MPT SAS BIOS utility to initialize the RAID. Can anyone help ?
Many Thanks &
Kindest Regards,
Yasir Mirza

SolutionTry upgrading BIOS _AND_ BMC firmware to the latest version. The new BMC firmware changed option ROM initialization sequence for better option ROM space management. Maybe that will solve the problem.

Re: DL140 G3 LSI Utility
As recomended above yes it will be helpfull. I would suggest you to clear the nvram for the system also before doing so would be a better option.
