Re: DL180 G6 Linux SUSE 11 + purple LED
Take a look at this information and see if it helps:
This is a known issue that on a server without a RAID Expansion Module (REM), the storage drive Fault and OK-to-Remove LEDs are incorrectly illuminated on storage drive slots 1 through 3.
Affected Operating Systems and Software:
â ¢ Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.3
â ¢ SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11
â ¢ Supplemental Software Releases 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.0
Fix Available:
A fix to the driver has been back ported to each OS and is now available. Install the latest errata kernel which contains an updated AHCI driver.
SLES11:
A kernel update for SLE(S/D) 11 has been released that fixes this bug. The kernel version is 2.6.27.23-0.1.1 and is available from the Novell download site.
You can download the kernel at http://www.novell.com/linux/security/advisories/2009_32_kernel.html
