DL320 G3 raid controler

Hi,

I want to create a raid 1 array (mirror) on my DL320 G3.
I add a 80Gb SATA HD and I want to add another one in RAID 1.
The raid controler is not activated in Bios.
The server is running W2k server.

Is it possible to activate the raid controller and create the mirror without reinstalling the server.

Nope - you'll need to install an OS from scratch, as the embedded RAID controller is partially based on software driver.

The driver is OS specific and enables Intel RAID functionality delivered by Intel E7221 chipset. You will need a FDD to install the driver.
