DL320 Gi Setup of 2000 Pro
I am trying to reinstall windows 2000 pro on a DL320 server (G1) I push 'F6' to install ata driver...then i get the message 'could not find file txtsetup.oem, and it freezes up on setup... Pls let me know where i can get a driver that will install on a manual setup of 2000 pro sp4- i tried to use the SmartStart cd that comes with it (release 5.10), but it only provodes for the installation of windows 2000 server and server advanced- i tried to use one of these options, and they did not recognize the OS CD.... Any help you could give would be appreciated- thanks.

Re: DL320 Gi Setup of 2000 Pro
Hi, Bethany,
1- Check the Boot Controller Order on RBSU ( Push F9 when finishing POST ), the ATA controller must be first.
2- Perform a COMPLETE format on the fllopy you are going to use.
2- Try with this driver (cp000788.exe):
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/10113.html
Install it by pressing F6 durring installation..

Re: DL320 Gi Setup of 2000 Pro
Thanks for the driver - It didn't work- it loads the drivers, says it finds the scsi device and lists ata controller....) but STILL freezes on the 'Setup is starting Windows 2000' screen...Any other ideas?
