dl360 g4 porwer on problem
Hello,
I received DL360 G4 sent over UPS.
When opened the box, right bracket (power button side)was bent. Probably they dropped it.
When connect the power cable power supply fan start to work. Amber light is on power button.
However, when press the button nothing happens.
On mother board all leds are green. No other colors. The server is in "coma"...
When playing with removing memory and etc I found a way to make it work. The trick is remove the battery and put it back. After that when reconnect the power cable the server starts normally. Power button light becomes green but the button is not manageble - cannot turn off the box by pressing it.
And one more thing that I can add to the description. If I shutdown the server and then remove and plug back the cable it starts normally. If I shut it down and want to start in couple of days I have to use my "magic" - remove and place back the battery.
I decided to ask forum. May be there is a hope to make this baby work. For me it is a mistery
with the buttery and dead power button. Kind of server is functional but need a tricky push.
I will appreciate any idea that can lead to repare this old nice box.
Thx.
Michael.
