DL360 G6 Hyperthreading
Hi
When i boot my Hp Dl360G6 it says that hyper threading is disabled. It has 2 Xeon E5504 processors.
I use this server for Hyper-V host and run several VM's on it.
I'm assuming that Hyperthreading will give me better performance on the server but how do i turn on Hyper Threading on this server i can tsee any option for it on the Rom Based Utility.
kind thanks

Re: DL360 G6 Hyperthreading
hi,
According to HP. its not needed on the G^ series servers.
It can be enabled in certain ways see below link, but has no effect on server performance

and see this support document as well

Re: DL360 G6 Hyperthreading
Intel specs for Xeon E5504 indicate it is not a processor with hyperthreading: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=40711
It has 4 cores and if it supported HT then it would state 8 threads.
