DL360 G6 installing a Backplane
I installed the second backplane into the server, connected the power and mini sas connectors, ok.
Plugged in the hdd to the new backplane and then powered on the server.
The hdd lights came one but it stays a constant red light.

Optional hard drive backplane assembly and cable, top4 532147-001
Please refer server QuickSpecs ( HP ProLiant DL360 Generation 6 (G6)) for supported drives, drive backplane & cables

If still issue persist then, I would suggest that log a support case with HPE technical support team for further troubleshooting in this case.
