DL360 G7 Win 2003 installation
Hello, as I wrote, I would like to install Windows 2003 on DL360 G7 but the installer says there is no HDD on my system.
I know I have to start the installer with some HP CD to configure the Smart Array, but I dont have this CD. Is this softwase available on the HPE website?
Can I get the link?
Peter

Re: DL360 G7 Win 2003 installation
Hi Peter,
You can download HPE Smart Stard CD from the HPE website.
For 64 bit OS, it is available at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_2e6c41afdb8c4c0d9bffce484c.
For 32 bit OS, it is available at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_855dfa9721d34696bfcac699bb.
Also we recommend to update the system firmware to the latest version using Firmware Maintenance DVD available at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_4372f442c3424063809e3d9198.
Regards,
KK

Re: DL360 G7 Win 2003 installation
Hi, thank you for all links, but unfortunately this doesnt solve ma problem.
Wehen I boot from this CD there is a message: No disk available for installing Operation System. - there are 2 HDDs 300GB
Then I tried with ACU, I booted the ACU CD and the same problem: ACU did not deteted any controllers on you system.
What have I to do to configure the RAID and HDD - I would like to mirror disk 1 to disk 2?

Re: DL360 G7 Win 2003 installation
Hi Peter,
During POST, the system will display the installed Smart Array Controller with the logical drive numbers.
It provides an option to press F8 to enter the ORCA. From there, you can configure the RAID on the available HDDs.
If the system does not have any Smart Array Controller, then it would not provide any option during POST.
As we are not sure about your server configuration, you can share the complete details of the server as below.
Insight Diagnostics Offline Survey
1. Boot on latest Smart Start.
2. Enter "Maintenance"
3. Select "HP Insight Diagnostic"
4. Select the "Survey" tab
5. Under the Survey tab select View Level: Advanced and Categories: All
6. Save report in an USB drive
Regards,
KK
