DL360 Gen10 - Network settings not appearing on iLO > Security

We are trying to enable Virtual Media option on a DL360 Gen10 but "Network" optios are not appearing on iLO > Security > Access Settings tab as expecting.

Installed last SP, also last iLO version 2.78. Restored to defaults iLO and RBSU and still don't appear.

Please check image attached.

Another server we have is showing this option as expected correcty.image001.png

 How to solve this issue?.

System recommended content:

1. HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO 3) for Gen10 Servers - Setting up iLO by Using iLO RBSU

2. HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO 5) for Gen10 Servers - Configuring iLO Management Settings

Hello there, as per your notes, you've mentioned that you've factory defaulted the iLO settings, have you performed that by following this procedure:?

Resetting iLO to the factory default settings (iLO 5 Configuration utility)

CAUTION: When user resets iLO to the factory default settings, all iLO settings are erased, including user data, license data, configuration settings, and logs. If the server has a factory installed license key, the license key is retained.

Events related to the reset are not logged to the iLO event log and integrated management Log because this step clears all the data in the logs.

Procedure

  1. Optional: If user access the server remotely, start an iLO remote console session.

  2. Restart or power on the server.

  3. Press F9 in the server POST screen.

    The UEFI System Utilities start.

  4. From the System Utilities screen, click System Configuration, and then click iLO 5 Configuration utility.

  5. Select Yes in the Set to factory defaults menu.

  6. The iLO 5 Configuration Utility prompts user to confirm the request.

  7. Click OK.

  8. iLO resets to the factory default settings. If user is managing iLO remotely, the remote console session is automatically ended. User cannot access the iLO 5 Configuration Utility again until after the next system reboot.

  9. Resume the boot process:

    1. Optional: If user is managing iLO remotely, wait for the iLO reset to finish, and then start the iLO remote console.

The iLO 5 Configuration Utility screen is still open from the previous session.

    2. Press Esc until the main menu is displayed.

    3. Click Exit and resume system boot.

    4. When prompted to confirm the request, click OK to exit the screen and resume the boot process.

  10. Optional: Use the default iLO account information to log in to iLO after the reset, which is on the serial label pull tab attached to the server.

If so, I think it's better to open a support case with HPE.

Best regards

Re: Query: DL360 Gen10 - Network settings not appearing on iLO > Security

WE are having the exact same issue.  Have two DL380 Gen10 machines.  In iLo the "Network" column is missing on one and is presnt on the other, just like the pics shown by the original post.   Specific need for us is we want to mount an iso but when when choose in Remote Console we get the message "Virtual Media is disabled. Virtual media can be enabled/disabled from the Access Settings page".  Those settings appear in the Network column on the "good" machine but not on the "bad" machine.  Interestingly the bad machine does show Virtual Media Status as eanbled as shown on the Remote Console Virtual Media page.  We are thinking we also need Remote Console enabled.  We compared every iLo page on the good machine and the bad machine and this is the one parameter that we see that we think is relevant.  Perhaps there's an alternative way to enable  Remote Console?

Here are some of the things we did..

Multiple iLo resets.

Verified user permisions.  Actually using Adminiistraton which is default with all permissions are checked.

Checked iLo settings on F9 boot.

Checked server BIOS settings.

Using same thin client to connect for both good and bad machines.  Compered settings.  Only mismatch is Remote Console diabled on bad machine.

ran test-netconnection and verified port 17988 open.

Ran reset /map1

Upgraded ilO from 2.65 to 2.70 then 2.71 then 3.16.  No change.

Factory reset iLo.

None of this changed the network column to display.
