DL360 Gen10 RAM upgrade query, two part numbers: 840758-091 vs 815100-B21
Hope someone can help! Simple enough query.
We want to upgrade RAM on our servers, Oneview reports 840758-091 being installed in all our servers. However, our original server builds had 815100-B21 on the purchase order.
I would definitely like the identical part number to show up in Oneview in all the RAM slots, what is the meaning of two different part numbers for the same product?
Is it that the B21 is a commercial front number with different variations/manufacturer/batches of RAM behind it, and that the 840758-091 is actually specific and identical RAM and if I order this P/N I get 100% that coming up in Oneview?
Many thanks!

Sorry for the late reply on this, I do apologise, we are ready to order these now, so wanted to check in again 100% with you.
You are saying if we order the 815100-B21 we should get that 840758-091 p/n showing up in Oneview?
Probably too much to expect the RAM sticks will have the same manufacturer, but.... my levels of OCD require that all the DIMMS in our exsi nodes have the same number presenting itself. We are ordering a tonne of these, and there will be some time delay between orders arriving at different datacentres, install times, etc etc, and if this turns out to be wrong, we have £££,£££ of RAM which we would not be able to return
Screen shot here:-
Thank you for your patience with my slow brain.
