DL360 or 380 G5 array controllers
I've got a number of new G5 servers that will sometimes lock up when new array f/w is pushed to them via SIM, or installed manually via the online update. The servers are all running Server 2003, sp2 and other than network drivers, everything else is up to date. Has anyone else seen this, or better yet have a fix for this?

Re: DL360 or 380 G5 array controllers
I haven't done SIM pushes, but I haven't seen the issue doing an online update (read: it's certainly not normal).
Your reboot should be able to be done whenever you feel appropriate, I don't feel you're doing anything wrong there.
Are you noting it with a particular firmware update?
I have noted that the Smartarray v2.80 firmware is effectively borked, and seems to cause other issues in just about every server it's applied.
NIC updates while bring the networking offline, and sometimes take 5-10 minutes to bring it back online. This may cause you to "feel" the server is locked, if that helps at all.
