DL360 won't boot. No display but all fan's running!!

Our isa server has been running fine. we have come to move it this morning and it won't boot back up. No display but all the fan's are spinning. We have tried replacing everything but nothing has worked. It is like the system has gone into sleep mode and you cant access anything.

Any suggestions would be very helpful. Out of idea's now.

Hi!

Well first thing when this happens is to run the server in minimal config.

Disconnect hard drives, dvds, floppy drives, run with as little memory, cpus as possible.

Nothing coming up on screen, have you tried with another monitor?

Are there any error leds lit on the front of the server or on the system board?

Have you tried to clear the NVRAM on the server?

I have tried all of the above to no success and have no alert lights on there are all green.

What generation of the DL360 do you have?

The Server boots up fan's spin like normal boot but just no display. Leave it for about 5-10minutes to see if we can access it via VNC but the server doesnt ping.

I have cleared the NVRAM and that has not worked.

It is like the PC boots in sleep mode.

Unfortunately then it's quite hard to see which component is causing the issue.

Have you tried to replace CPU/system board?

If you run it without DIMMs does that change anything?

I have replaced the cpu but the main board i haven't tried was hoping that wasnt going to be the case.

Have you tried unplugging the physical power from both power supplies, waiting 5-10 seconds, plugging it in and then restarting the server? For some reason, my DL380 also did this until I reset the physical power on the system and then it came up!

Remove all memory, boot to see if there are alarm. If there is alarm, plug it back in memory, try to boot, If you still do not show that the replacement motherboard. If there is no alarm, replace the motherboard.

Thank you for your replies. I will try the physical power and see if that does the trick. I have tried the memory and got a red error light. I then tried to re-boot but still no display. I am thinking the motherboard has gone on the PC. It is turning out that way with all the tests i have tried.

Martyn, Did you get anywhere on this error.
I have exactly the same error.
The differance is it happened a while ago and theafter reseating everything the server came back
However, it has happened today and I can't get the server back at all.

You moved the server. Did you open it up and reseat everything.
