DL360e G8 Processor 2 doesn't power up.
I'm installing a brand new HP ProLiant DL360e Gen8 Base - Xeon E5-2407 2.2 GHz- Server (668814-421) and have added a second Intel Xeon E5-2407 - 2.2 GHz CPU (660664-B21).
The server stops i POST with status code 5808.
And shows this error as well:
245 - Processor Power-on issue: Processor 2 did not power up.
Action: Confirm installed processors id the same model. If so power cycle.
If not resolved, reset or swap processors. If the issue persists, contact
HP service.
As far as i can see the processors is the same model.
I have testet the second processor in the first processor socket, and it works.
Any suggestions?

Re: DL360e G8 Processor 2 doesn't power up.
Did you find any solution?
I have the same problem with a DL560 G8 (4xE5-4620).
There was no error when it was installed a few month ago and it was working fine for couple of weeks.

Same problem here! Works fine with EITHER processor in Slot 1, won't work with Either processor in slot 2

Re: DL360e G8 Processor 2 doesn't power up.
Use a magnifying glass and closely inspect the contact pins of the 2nd CPU socket for damage.

Re: DL360e G8 Processor 2 doesn't power up.
Hi!
Please make sure that both Processors are the same SP number. If they are then log a call with HP Support.
Processors MUST match SP numbers..... SP numbers are what HP Services uses to order the exact replacement part/parts. They are found on the part label that shows the part number or sales option number.
They will have a 6-3 format.
Regards,
Louis

Re: DL360e G8 Processor 2 doesn't power up.
Hi.
I had the same problem on DL560 Gen8 with 2 cpus. When I tried to install processor 3 and 4 - I got an error: `245 - Processor Power-on Issue: Processor 3 did not power up.` I checked all CPUs sockets and had seen that contacts in socket two was in thermal grease.
Solution: check all CPU sockets even if the processors were 'factory installed'
