DL360Gen9 Processor part number question

Hi Experts, For DL360Gen9 I requested for quote with one processor for BOM to our local vendor and come out with below:

1) 755378-B21 and 755378-L21 for quantity with 1 each. What is difference between these two?

2) Is there any p and e model for Gen9? As DL380"p" or DL380"e" for Gen8 time?

Thank you very much :)

Re: DL360Gen9 Processor part number question

The L21 number is used for configuring the system with one CPU, the B21 number is the option kit when you want to add a second CPU

From the Quickspec

NOTE: Processor XXXXXX-B21 option kits include 1 heat sink and two additional fans for 2P configs.

Re: DL360Gen9 Processor part number question

There are no longer "p" and "e" models in Gen9, HP has resurrected the DL100 and ML100 series instead of the "e" models. There was no 100 series in Gen8 (except a single model).

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
