DL380 G1 fan speed
Just reinstalled OS onto 2x DL380 G1 -- after installing the Windows 2003 Support Pack (v.7.00), one unit reduced fan speed and the other did not. I'm assuming that after installing the Support Pack, the fan speed is thermally controlled. Why doesn't my second server reduce its fan speed???

Erik:
You may need to update the bios on that server: http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20506.html

Re: DL380 G1 fan speed
Alternatively, you should check to see that the Health Driver is in fact "Loaded and Enabled"...
