DL380 G4 & processor upgrade
I have a DL380 G4 with the latest fw (P51) installed. I got two single core 32bit Xeon installed which I would like to replace with 64bit cpus. So I got myself two XEON 7130M with 604 socket. After installing them and powering up simply nothing happens. What I'm a doing wrong?
Any idea or are the processors simply not supported?
Kind regards Marcus Wolf

- 1 SCSI model: which have 3 different System boards, 1 for single core Procs and 1 for dual core Procs
- 1 SAS model: which only has 1 tyoe of syste board

Re: DL380 G4 & processor upgrade
this is the only one listed
2.83-GHz Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в dual-core, 1066-MHz FSB,
4-MB cache
403934-001
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main?sel_flg=partinfo&template=main&cpric=&psrchmode=&partsrch=403934-001&submit.x=3&submit.y=7
but like I told since it is dual core it will need a system board that support dual core Procs
