DL380 G4 Processor Upgrade
I have a DL380 G4 2x3.6 Ghz 361011-001
Has anyone successfully upgraded the above server to a Xeon 7000 series CPU? I'm aware that the later model servers came with the dual-core option. Was anything on the motherboard changed? Is there a distinction or model suffix for the dual-core flavor?
I'm looking at either the Xeon 7030(SL8UB) or the 7041(SL8UD) with are both 800Mhz FSB/90nm technology with dual core.
Thanks a million,
Matthew
