DL380 G5 shutdown issues
We have a 2*DL380G5 (417455-421) with 2*FC HBA(FC1142SR) loaded. System has latest FW (ver 7.9) and latest drivers loaded. The thing is that when shutting down the servers, the system takes very long time before powering off. After Windows shuts down, the screen goes blank but server power is still on. It takes more than 15 mins to completely power off. However, we noticed that when we remove any one or both HBAs the system powers off normally. The server has a PCIe riser card which supports the FC1142 HBA. OS is clean, freshly installed with no applications loaded yet. Any clue?

Re: DL380 G5 shutdown issues
Is there any storage connected to the HBAs yet, or does this happen with just the HBAs installed...?
Cheers,
Rob

Re: DL380 G5 shutdown issues
Thx for all, the problem was actually with the Microsoft Sorport driver. Updated with hotfix and problem solved.
