Help: I have two DL380 G7 Six-core Xeon servers acting as text-to-speech servers for the public. They take text input and recite names and addresses on request.
My networking team is telling me we need to repalce these as we purchased them in 2011. I'm thinking that any server should have at least a ten-year support lifespan. However, I cannot find the information on the website for End of LIfe / End of Support.
On the Microsoft site, for example, the support information for server and desktop OS families are easy to see.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle
Where on the site do I find this for servers? For that matter, where do I find it for desktops and my Elite X3?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: DL380 Gen 7 (G7) End of Life / End of Support?
A server generally goes EOL when the next generation server is released (or soon thereafter). EOS is normally five years after EOL. I don't have the exact date, but I think EOL on the DL380 G7 was in 2013.
If you search through the forum I recall someone had posted a link to a site that had the dates listed for many HPE products.
As for desktops, workstations, laptops, and printers you need to contact HP Inc

Re: DL380 Gen 7 (G7) End of Life / End of Support?
Thank you for the information. I'll search.
Wow, that is a short lifespan. I would have expected ten years for server products. At least I'll be able to support through the end of the year.
Of course, my 1988 model HP 3000 is still humming along, so maybe I'll be okay.

Um, okay. That's a great non-answer. You must not work for customer support.

Please keep in mind these forums are supported by the user community. While some of use that participate in the forums may work for HPE, this is not an official HPE support mechanism, There is a good chance the person that responded doesn't work for cutomer support and was just trying to provide another option to possibly get your question answered
