DL380 Gen8 reboot loop
Can anyone tell what could be the reason behind the reboot loop just after
Early system initialization, please wait ...
progress 20%
Early processor initialization
Processing log information
"Memory and QPI link initialization start" -- rebooting from here
1. iLO doesn't show any errors or warning
2. Firmware latest available ( 2019)
3. All part are HPE genuine ones ( PCI HBA, memory, hdd etc )
4 uptime was 1039 days, I had to reboot after package updates to switch new kernel
Again after 15-20 seconds at same state memory and QPI link initialization server reboots
What could be wrong ?

Re: DL380 Gen8 reboot loop
Hi,
A similar issue was observed on another model.
You may also try to clear NVRAM from System Maintenance Switch. Refer to page#99, S6 switch.
Thank You!

Re: DL380 Gen8 reboot loop
@Suman_1978 1. Tried with single processor didn't work
2. Removed all PCI cards didn't work
3. Tried NVRAM reset didn't work
4. Replaced CMOS battery didn't work.
5. Replaced memory from the working server still didn't work "Memory and QPI link initialization start"
iLO does not show any errors very surpising. exactly after 15 seconds it reboots

Re: DL380 Gen8 reboot loop
Hi,
If still facing the same issue, try the Insight Diagnostics within intelligent Provisioning.
Based on the result, try to replace or reseat the component.
If need be contact HPE Support and log a ticket.
Thank You!
