DL380 Gen8 Storage Expansion
Greetings,
we would need to expand the available space on a DL380P Gen8 server which currently has 25 disks.
I've seen around that there are devices like the HP D3700 25 disks which, if it were possible to connect to our server, could be the right solution.
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect an HP D3700 to an already running DL380P gen server?
And what would I need to connect them if it's even possible?
Thank you
Greetings
Massimo

Re: DL380 Gen8 Storage Expansion
Thanks for the reply,
what type of card should I add to my hp DL380 g8 to connect one of these Disk Eclosures?
I understand that the connection will be via MiniSAS.
My server right now is running on a Smart Array P420i controller.
Thank you
Greetings
Massimo

Re: DL380 Gen8 Storage Expansion
Hi,
If you refer to an older version of QuickSpecs, say 2017, it says "D3600/D3700 compatible with Gen8/Gen9 HPE Smart ArraySAS controllers (P431, P441, P822, P841, P731m and P741m)."
Thank You!
