Hi all,
I have the above mentioned server, where I installed the 2SFF Front/Rear SAS/SATA kit.
When booting the server, the discs is not shown in the disk administrator utility, I tried with both SAS and SATA discs, when inserting the discs the LED's will go through the power on process, and light up indicating all LED's is working. The 2SFF Front/Rear SAS/SATA kit, is connected to the onboard controller, using the HP Internal MiniSAS Cable . (HP 776390-001 )
Maybe it's worth mentioning, I also have a P840 Controller in PCI slot 3, where I have 12 x 4TB discs. In PCI slot 2 I have a NVM Express Controller and in Slot 1 I have a 2-port 530SFP+ 10G Adapter.
Why is the discs not shown when starting the server?
I hope you will be able to help me, thanks in advance

Re: DL380 Gen9 2SFF Front/Rear SAS/SATA kit
Hi,
May we know the name of disk administrator utility you are using. How are you accessing this utility?
I would suggest to use the Intelligent Provisioning during the startup of the server and also check in the iLO GUI if the drives are detected.
Thank You!

Re: DL380 Gen9 2SFF Front/Rear SAS/SATA kit
Hi Suman,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried both from Intelligent Provisioning F10, and also when entering from "system configuration" F9
in Array Configuration Utility (ACU) there is no discs.
I tried removing the raiser, with the PCI cards, and only having the cable from rear discs connected X4 SATA ports (1 and 2)
Kind regards
Stefan

Re: DL380 Gen9 2SFF Front/Rear SAS/SATA kit
Hi Suman,
This is how it's connected.
If this does not work, would it be possible to add a SAS or SATA controller to one of the PCI slots, and connect 2 bay rear unit to it?
/Stefan
