DL380/NW6.5/Reboot & question about forum
1. We are experiencing reboots about every day (sometimes multiple times a day) on a DL380 G2 running NW6.5. We were running SP1 but updated to SP4, with no difference. The error that shows up is "User drive write error" and then the drives dismount. We have 6 drives, two mirrored for SYS and 4 mirrored/joined (2/2) for VOL1. All internal on the internal card, using 1+0 raid. Any thoughts?
No abend logs, as the abend log would be written to the SYS vol, which is deactivated when this happens.. I'm thinking hardware error, but.....
2. Is there anyway to search the forums for answers rather than going next page, next page, ad infinitum?

Re: DL380/NW6.5/Reboot & question about forum
Can you boot to smartstart cd and run the array diagnostics program from the maintenance tab and save the report to floppy?
If your volumes are dismounting there may be drive errors or perhaps communication errors on the scsi bus.
Once you have the report reply to this message with the report using the attach feature of your reply.
I'd suggest running firmware updates and installing HP's latest support pack & drivers as well:
Proliant Support Pack 7.4 for Netware:
